Balraj Singh Nijjar, the elder of Hardeep’s two sons, added, “Family and close friends had always suspected that the Indian government had a hand in his murder. It was only a matter of time when the truth would come out. When we When I heard the news that PM Trudeau had said in Parliament that India had a hand in his father’s murder, I felt relieved that the truth was finally coming out in front of the people.”
Balraj Singh Nijjar has thanked Trudeau as well as federal Conservative leader Pierre Poulivre and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh for raising the issue. Nijjar further said that hopefully the government will go one step further and bring the murderer to book. Whatever restrictions the government imposes or any steps it takes, we as a family are waiting for it.
Balraj was present there at the time of murder
According to the report, when terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot, his son Balraj Singh Nijjar was just a few meters away from him. Balraj says that five minutes before the murder, Hardeep Singh had called home angrily and asked to keep dinner ready.

Who was Hardeep Nijjar and how was he murdered?

Hardeep Singh Nijjar had been declared a fugitive and terrorist by the security agencies of India. Apart from this, a reward of Rs 10 lakh was announced on Nijjar by the National Investigation Agency.
In June 2023, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Surrey city of Canada. Nijjar was shot in his truck in the temple parking lot. According to preliminary investigation by Canadian security agencies, Nijjar was shot by two assailants. No arrest has been made in this case so far.
