Today (2.00 pm onwards) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala IndiaThe last warm-up match will be played. The match against the Netherlands is crucial for the Indian players as India’s practice match against England in Guwahati was washed out due to rain. As most of the players in the Indian team have played in the Asia Cup and recently against Australia, they have had a lot of match-practice in batting, bowling and fielding, but a warm-up match is necessary to get them in the mood of the competition before the World Cup starting on October 5 in Ahmedabad.

The last warm-up match between Australia and Pakistan will be played today in Hyderabad from 2.00 pm. On the other hand, there will be a match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in Guwahati.

New Zealand won by 7 runs

New Zealand defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the warm-up match in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday. This was the last match before the World Cup for the 2019 runner-up Kiwis. They will now play the first match of the World Cup against defending champions England on Thursday. After New Zealand scored 321 for 6 yesterday in Friday’s warm-up match, the South African team managed to score 211 for 4 instead of 219 in 37 overs as per the new target.
