The first warm-up match of the World Cup was played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Barsapar Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The second warm-up match was to be played between South Africa and Afghanistan in Thiruvananthapuram. However, this match was canceled due to rain. South Africa will play their second practice match against New Zealand while Afghanistan will play against Sri Lanka.

The third and final warm-up match was played between Pakistan and New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. In this match, Pakistan team scored 345 runs after losing 5 wickets while batting first. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwane Scored 103 runs off 94 balls with a brilliant century. Rizwan hit 9 fours and two sixes in his innings. Babar Azam scored 80 runs in 84 balls, he hit eight fours and two sixes. Saud Shakeel also played an explosive innings of 75 runs off 53 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes.
The New Zealand team achieved the target of 345 runs in 44 overs. Rachin Ravindra, who came to open, scored 97 runs in 72 balls which included 16 fours and one six. Daryl Mitchell scored 59 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes and Kane Williamson scored 54 runs in which he hit eight fours. Mark Chapman scored 65 not out. Chapman hit six fours and three sixes in his innings.
