Two players from Vadodara shone in the national competition, winning medals in this category

Two players from Vadodara have shined in the first national level Khelo India Women’s Kickboxing League. The competition was held at Rajiv Gandhi High Altitude Training Centre, Sports Authority of India, Shilaru, Shimla.

Kickboxers Dinkal Gorkha and Ishita Gandhi from Vadodara city have hoisted the flag of their name by winning the championship in the first Khelo India Women's Kickboxing League currently held at Rajiv Gandhi High Altitude Training Center, Sports Authority of India at Shimla.

Kickboxers Dinkal Gorkha and Ishita Gandhi of Vadodara city have hoisted the flag of their name by winning the championship in the first Khelo India Women’s Kickboxing League organized at Rajiv Gandhi High Altitude Training Center, Sports Authority of India at Shimla.

The first official Khelo India Women’s Kickboxing League is an unprecedented event in the world of sports. The event promoted equality between boys and girls and encouraged women athletes to excel in combat sports. Women kickboxers from across the country showcased their exceptional talent and perseverance in this historic event.

Vadodara kickboxers Dinkal Gorkha and Ishita Gandhi left their mark in this championship. Dinkal Gorkha has emerged as a promising competitor by bagging the first position in both the point fight and light contact categories in the 55kg junior girls category.

Another promising athlete from Vadodara, Ishita Gandhi showed her mettle in the 65kg point fight senior women’s category to bag the first position. Additionally, she showcased her skills in the light contact 65 kg senior women’s category and finished second.

Ishita Gandhi’s achievements grabbed the attention of Khelo India’s official social media platform.

Her picture is featured prominently on the official Khelo India Instagram and Facebook page, highlighting her amazing talent and dedication to the sport of kickboxing.

Kickboxing Association Gujarat president and coach Siddharth Bhaleghar congratulated these talented kickboxers and wished them a bright future.
