The Indian rowing team has started the 19th Asian Games with a win. On Wednesday, the Indian men’s and women’s teams kept their medal hopes alive in rowing’s lightweight double sculls event at the Games in Hangzhou, China. Both the teams have reached the repechage round.

In the men’s lightweight double scull, Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh finished second in the heats with a time of 6:27.45. Apart from this, Satnam Singh and Parminder Singh also finished second in their heat with a time of 6:27.01. Both will now participate in the repechage round. If he performs well in the repechages, he will qualify for the finals.
