XUV 300 Spotted: Mahindra & Mahindra’s next launch is the XUV300 facelift, which will go on sale next year. The company is testing its updated SUV before bringing it to the market. Recently in new spy pictures it was seen during high altitude testing in Leh.
Interior
A large touchscreen infotainment system can be clearly seen in the new spy images. However, the current 7.0-inch screen is expected to continue in the lower variants. Higher trims will get a new touchscreen system, measuring around 10 inches, which will also be offered in the upcoming Thar 5-door SUV. The screen appears to have dedicated buttons for volume control and other infotainment-related functions. The XUV300 facelift is likely to get a full-digital instrument cluster among other changes.
Exterior
From the outside its design seems to be inspired by the Mahindra BE. Its nose grille is divided into four parts and features a vertical headlamp cluster, making the updated XUV300 ready to take on other rivals and the larger XUV700. Like the BE SUV concept, the XUV300 may get vertical LED DRLs above the headlamps. There will be a piano black panel with a large Mahindra “Twin Peaks” logo in between the nose grille. It features an “air inlet” in horizontal form with another character line dividing the bumper into two parts with more air inlets. The rear design will get body-color elements along with a matte black finish on parts of the bumper and several other changes. The updated XUV300 is expected to be similar to the XUV700 and the upcoming BE range. It may get a completely new tailgate design and a full wide LED light bar.
XUV300 Facelift Powertrain
The XUV300 recently received a powertrain upgrade to comply with BS6 Stage II emission norms and is expected to carry over the existing powertrain to the facelifted model. It can get a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 117hp power along with the existing 1.2-litre, 110hp and 131hp 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
When will the Mahindra XUV300 facelift be launched?
The XUV300 facelift is expected to be launched next year. After launch it will compete with cars like Hyundai Venue, recently updated Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza and Kia Sonet.
