An explosion occurred in Hasselby, a suburb of the capital Stockholm, late on Monday night. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the explosion occurred in Linköping, about 175 kilometers to the southwest. The blast damaged the front of the 3-storey building and scattered debris in the parking area.

3 people were taken to hospital
Residents of the affected area in Linköping were evacuated to a nearby sports facility, police said. 3 people were taken to hospital in Heselby. No arrests have been made in connection with the alleged blasts, police said. Earlier this month, a 13-year-old boy was shot in the head in a forest not far from his home near Stockholm. A prosecutor said his death was an example of wanton gang violence.

2 people were killed in the firing
On September 22, a gunman opened fire in a crowded bar northwest of Stockholm, killing two people and wounding two. One of the dead, a 20-year-old man, was the shooter’s target, while three others are believed to be bystanders, police said. Police said the shooting was part of a personal feud and was linked to an ongoing feud. Sweden’s government is tightening laws to tackle gang-related crime.
