New Delhi: On Gandhi Jayanti, the entire country remembers the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at 7.30 am at Rajghat. Tributes were paid to Bapu. Apart from this, President Draupadi Murmu also paid tribute to Mahatmaji. All religion prayers were organized at that time.
After reaching Rajghat, the Prime Minister went to Vijayghat, the burial place of Lal Bahadur Shastri. There too they paid tribute to this heroic son of India.
P.O. Today on the day of Bapu’s 154th birth anniversary, BJP National President J.P. Nadda launched the Khadi India program at Connaught-Place at 11.30 am. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat at seven o’clock in the morning.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee along with party MPs, legislators and district presidents also reached Rajghat and paid their respects to Mahatmaji.
Apart from this, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi etc. Tributes were paid to Bapu and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi also interacted with fitness trainer Ankit, Baithan Puria. The Prime Minister also released a video of Swachh Bharat, Swachh Bharat with Baithan Puria. For Swachh Bharat Abhiyan since 1st October, Prime Minister also said in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ for cleanliness.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had earlier said that it was decided to hold many different programs from 2nd October in the INDIA alliance meeting held in Mumbai. However, its details have not been made public.
