Employment: Five more MoUs have been concluded today as a prelude to the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to be held in January-2024 under the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through these five MoUs signed in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a total potential investment of Rs 1,095 crore will come to the state. Not only this, this will also result in the creation of 1,230 employment opportunities in the coming year. So far, a total of 13,536 MoUs have been signed in various 7 phases.

Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, before the start of the upcoming Vibrant Summit, the state government has taken a new initiative to sign MoUs with various industrialists to get investments in the state. MoUs have been signed for potential investments of Rs 13,536 crore in 7 phases from July-2023 to date in this initiative. A total of 50,717 employment opportunities will be created in the state if this MoU is realized.

Under this initiative of making MoUs at the beginning of every week, five MoUs held on Wednesday were attended by Industries Minister Mr. Balwantsinh Rajput, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Kailashanathan, Chief Secretary Mr. Rajkumar and additional chief secretaries and senior secretaries and representatives of industry houses who made MoUs.

The MoU signed today includes packaging material production, plastic, textile and renewable sector projects, formulation and API and MoU for edible oil, green tea, ready-to-eat Gujarati khichdi, Desi Gir cow ghee and honey production in food processing plants and ready-to-cook products under greenfield plants.
