Narmada district witnessed torrential rains from early morning, water-logged scenes were seen everywhere, societies were knee-deep in water.

Narmada: In Narmada district, torrential rains are being seen all around since early morning. Around 5 inches of rain has fallen in the district since morning. Because of this, water has flooded in Kachiyawad, Durbar Road and Station Road areas of Rajpipala. Along with Vadia village, it is the turn of the local people to face a lot of water inundated societies including Satyam Nagar Society, Rameshwar, Devanarayan, Dev Ashish.
Rajpipla and Dediyapada received the highest rainfall. These two talukas have received three inches of rain each since 6 am. In Rajpipla, the low-lying areas of Kachiwad Durbar Road and Station Road are flooded. About which people are disturbed. While the Wadia village of Rajpipala has flooded the societies due to heavy rains. Satyam Nagar Society including Vadia village, Rameshwar, Devanarayan, Dev Ashish and other societies have been flooded.
According to the 24-hour rainfall statistics released this morning, 89 talukas of the state received rain. In which the most rain has fallen in Chuda of Surendranagar, 5 inches. While 3 inches of rain has fallen in Botad, 3 and a half inches in Gondal and two and a half inches in Navsari and Dediapada. About 2 inches of rain has fallen in 5 talukas. Chikhli, Jalalpore, Rajula, Baid and Dolwan received 2 inches of rain. 18 talukas have received one to one and a half inches of rain.
It may be noted that moderate to normal rainfall is forecast for four days in the state. Thunderstorm activity may occur in some areas. Wind gusts of up to 40 kmph are possible. Strong winds, thundershowers are likely to occur.
Apart from parts of South Gujarat, Daman, Dadranagar Haveli may receive moderate to moderate rain today. Besides Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, normal to moderate rain may occur.
