Antony Blinken, who arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, said that the US is working closely with Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety of people in the Gaza Strip. He also said that Hamas is a terrorist group and its only agenda is to destroy Israel. Blinken spoke to the media jointly with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan. Meanwhile, he said that no country should have to endure what Israel is now facing.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Riyadh amid the war between Israel and Hamas. Meanwhile, he said that his country is working closely with Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety of people in the Gaza Strip. He also said that Hamas is a terrorist group and its only agenda is to destroy Israel. Blinken had earlier visited Tel Aviv and Amman and met the top leadership there.
Blinken spoke to the media jointly with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan. Meanwhile, he said that no country should have to endure what Israel is now facing. More than 1300 people from Israel and other countries were killed by Hamas.
He said Hamas does not represent Palestine. Hamas is a terrorist organization and its sole agenda is to destroy Israel and kill Jews. It is important that the whole world sees it this way.
“The people of Israel have a right to protect their people, it’s important that we take care of all people and we’re working together to do that,” he said. In particular, we need to work to secure areas of Gaza and create corridors so that humanitarian aid can reach those in need.
The US Secretary of State further said that none of us wants to see civilian casualties on any side, be it Israel, Gaza or anywhere else. We are working together to do our best to protect them.
It is very important that we work together to ensure that this conflict does not spread to other places on other fronts, to the best of our ability. In addition, the US and Saudi Arabia are working very closely in many other important areas where it is very important to try to bring more peace, stability and security. It includes Sudan along with Yemen.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said, ‘We need to find a way to bring the situation under control quickly. The shelling has to stop and work has to be done to resolve the humanitarian challenges. The humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire. We need to work together to ensure that humanitarian relief is allowed to be delivered. We need to work together to break the cycle of violence.
