According to reports, several locations have been hit by missiles since 6.30 am in the war zone Gaza Strip, and sirens are being sounded continuously. The Israeli army sounded a warning siren in the country’s southern and central regions for more than an hour, urging people to stay away from bomb threats. The army said that several terrorists have infiltrated Israeli areas in the Gaza Strip.
Missile warning sirens continued to sound in southern areas around Gaza and the greater Tel Aviv area early Saturday morning. Explosions were heard around Tel Aviv and in cities outside Jerusalem.
People are advised to stay at home
Gaza residents said they heard armed clashes at the separation fence with Israel near the southern city of Khan Younis and saw significant activity by armed fighters. Israel’s ambulance service said teams were sent to areas of southern Israel near Gaza and residents were warned to stay inside, but there was no immediate information on possible casualties.
An elderly woman died in the attack
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) rescue service said a 70-year-old woman was killed by a barrage in Kafr Aviv in the Gaderot area, the news agency reported. In addition, medical teams are treating another person caught in direct missile fire in Gederot Regional Council. The MDA further said it is also treating a 20-year-old man who was slightly injured by rocket shrapnel in Yavan.
