Kinjal Karsaria, Jamnagar: A girl named Hemali Nakum from Jodia parish in the district has bagged gold medal in javelin throw (javelin throw) in Indo-Nepal Championship. It is worth mentioning that Hemali Nakum was representing India in javelin throw. Then his name has become bright all over the country with this success.
Hemali, the youngest of seven sisters who lost the umbrella of her father Ramjibhai since childhood in Kunad village of Jodia Panthak, grew up with her mother Kasturben at her maternal uncle’s house. Since his childhood, he has been pursuing his interest in the field of sports.
Hemali started her career in the field of sports with Kabaddi when she was studying in the fifth standard in government school in Nakum Kunad, later she showed her talent at the taluk level in Kabaddi from class 8 in Jodia Hunnar School. After studying till 10th standard, from 11th standard she showed interest in volleyball game and started studying commerce in Jamnagar SVET college and started practicing volleyball there as well.
While studying in Jamnagar College, father Ramjibhai got cancer and father left the world and became a notary. After losing her father’s umbrella, Hemali, the youngest of 7 sisters, left playing in groups and started participating in open games.
First participated in log jump at national level in Manali and got first gold medal. Later, by showing his talent in various inter-district and state-level games, he started taking the gold medal by securing first rank in the long jump event at the international level open competition in Pokhara, Nepal in 2021. After that, she participated in the long jump again in the international competition in Nepal and worked hard but luck was a little raw so she was the runner up with the silver medal.
In a separate sport, Hemali Nakum came from India to compete in the Javelin Throw (javelin throw) at the recently started International Level Indo-Nepal Championship, 2023 organized by The Association for Traditional Youth Games and Sports in Indo-Nepal from 26 to 28 September 2023. Has won gold medal with first rank.
From the beginning there was a foul in the first round in the javelin throw i.e. Bhalafaq on the ground, i.e. failure. But after trying without losing courage in the second and third round, others have won the gold medal and got the first rank. Then the people and other women who are ruined by failure have marked a waiting. In the field of sports, Hemali Nakum of Kunad village in Jodia Panthak area of Jamnagar has so far won 3 international and 8 national medals.
