Before the start of World Cup 2023, BCCI had announced free water in stadiums. He was admired everywhere. But the ground reality is looking different. Spectators had to pay up to Rs 100 for water during a match between Australia and South Africa, it is being claimed.
@JayShah @UPCACricket @BCCI @ICC Finally found one counter for water at ₹100 per bottle. Water is scarce here. They want to organize events. See the management rather mismanagement @ndtv @aajtak @RepublicTVs @ABPNews #AUSvsSA pic.twitter.com/9SJqYLjCBU

BCCI had announced free water in stadiums from World Cup 2023 onwards. After this, the fans’ happiness knew no bounds. This decision of the board was being appreciated everywhere. But the match between Australia and South Africa played in Lucknow saw something different. The match was played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ICANA Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. This was also the first match of the tournament at this ground.
Good-The ground is good. Seats are clean. Clear obstructed view. Smooth entry.
Bad- no drinking water facility. There are taps but not sure about water coming out. 25/- per glass of water. Washrooms could be cleaner. No water to wash hands.Ekana Stadium Lucknow. #AUSvSA #BCCI

During the match between South Africa and Australia, Icaana Stadium was getting water with money. Dozens of fans have claimed this on social media. Many people have also shared the video, which says free water but there is nothing. Fans claim that a bottle of water was available for 100 rupees. A glass of water was available for 10 to 20 rupees. Fans are also claiming that there was a time when water was not available for hours after paying.
@JayShah @UPCACricket @BCCI@ICC No water even when ready to pay ₹50-₹100 per bottle of water. All promises turned to be fake. No water since last 2 hours. Don’t want freebie but good service. Ekana sucks. No one has water. Forced for cold drinks #AUSvsSA pic.twitter.com/1RCCNmZctc

During World Cup 2023, questions are being raised on BCCI due to many reasons. When the Pakistan team reached Ahmedabad for the match against India, they were given a grand welcome. Meanwhile, the girls were also dancing. Cricket fans are angry with BCCI over this. He called it a shame. Even before this matter was settled, there were claims of getting water from money in the Ikana stadium. The World Cup 2023 started from October 5. The title match will be played on November 19.
