  • Corporations turn a blind eye to complaints to address the problem

Even in the rains, the Vijay Mill Road opposite Arvind Aviskar of Ashok Mill Compound in North Zone India Colony Ward is flooded. Despite being a residential area, there is no system for draining the water once it is inundated. So, as the rain water gets mixed with the dirty water of the drainage line, the residents are forced to go through the dirty water. Although a complaint has been made to the Municipal Corporation, no concrete solution has been brought to it.

Talking about this, local resident Prashant Patel said that due to the mixing of drainage waste water with rainwater, the infestation of mosquitoes is also increasing. Due to which dengue and malaria cases are also being seen among people. Despite representations made in the Corporation that this dire situation should be remedied on a war footing, no action is being taken. So the locals are in trouble. Although the problem of waterlogging even in normal rains in monsoon every year is age old, Mun. Locals and motorists have to face difficulties due to which no proper arrangements are made for disposal of rain water.
