‘Don’t go to Jammu and Kashmir’, Canada issues advisory to its citizens amid row with India

India has reacted strongly to this provocative move by Canada and termed the allegations as absurd

Canada on Tuesday (September 19) issued an advisory to its citizens amid the ongoing controversy over the killing of Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In which Canada has asked the people of its country not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir.


Canada cited security as the reason behind it. “Do not travel to Jammu and Kashmir as there is a threat of terrorism, extremism, civil unrest and kidnapping,” reads the updated advisory. Canada has issued this advisory at a time when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that Indian agents were involved in the killing of Niger. Also the Indian diplomat has been expelled from the country.


India has strongly reacted to this provocative move by Canada and termed the allegations as absurd. A senior Canadian diplomat has also been expelled. Trudeau’s statement came on Tuesday (September 19) after India retaliated
