Anand: Charotar has been disturbed by Megharaja for the last two days. Then the rivers and canals of Kheda and Anand districts have been flooded. New revenue has been generated in it. Due to this, the rivers have started flowing on two banks.
Two people were trapped in a temple near Gambhira in Anand district. An elderly couple was trapped in the temple amid the rushing river. Then Anand police came to him.
The police risked their lives to save their lives. The local PSI reached the temple with the help of a rope and jumped into the river amidst the raging current and rescued both.
The flow of water was not that high so there was less chance of any major disaster during the rescue operation. PSI then rescued the elderly couple and shifted them to a safe place.
For the last two days, Meghraja has been kind to South Gujarat, North Gujarat and Central Gujarat. Heavy rain has been witnessed in many districts. At that time, the Mahisagar river passing through Charotar also received a large amount of water. Due to this, an alert has been given in the coastal areas.
