An annual salary of Rs.3.67 crore to an IIT Bombay graduate

Annually to a graduate of the 2022-23 batch of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Got the highest paying international job offer with a salary of 3.67 crores. Annually to another graduate. Got a job in India with a salary of 1.68 crores. Yare 16 graduates annually. accepted job offers with a salary of over 1 crore, while 65 accepted international offers in the 2022–23 placement season. The overseas jobs are from various companies based in USA, Japan, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
According to IIT Bombay’s Placement and Internship Report, the average salary of students placed this season is . 21.82 lakh (CTC), which is slightly higher than the previous year. In another milestone, the latest round of placements also saw a record 1,516 IIT Bombay graduates get jobs out of 1,845 students who actively participated in the process.

Most of the jobs are in engineering and technology sector. IIT Bombay said that the recruitment of information technology (IT) and software has been less this season as compared to last year. Around 302 students were offered IT software jobs by more than 88 companies. Other fields recruiting students include trading, banking, fintech, education and design.
IIT Bombay slipped one place in the Ministry of Education’s National Institutional Ranking Framework ranking of educational institutions in India in 2023, which was published in June.
Last month, IIT Bombay was in the news after receiving a donation of Rs 160 crore from an anonymous donor. The generous donation comes on the heels of Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, an alumnus of IIT Bombay, and the institute to mark 50 years of his association with them. 315 crore was donated.
