– Sadness again in Bollywood after several hits
– Paloma-Rajvi’s debut film Dono didn’t earn even one crore, Bhumi’s Thank for Coming also failed
Mumbai: In Bollywood, which has been in a state of excitement for some time now due to over-the-top hits, suddenly there has been an atmosphere of concern again as three films of big stars and big production houses released this week have been flopped since the previous day.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Raniganj’ failed to earn even three crores on the first day, a shock wave has returned in Bollywood.
It is believed that Akshay Kumar has a loyal fan base who watch any of his trashy films at least once. Hence, the opening collection of Akshay Kumar’s film is expected to be at least seven to eight crores. Instead, ‘Mission Raniganj’ has also failed to reach three crores.
Most of the critics have criticized the film. Compared to Amitabh-Shashi Kapoor’s Kaala Pathrad, which had a similar plot, the film is being criticized for being too weak despite the use of modern technology.
Rajshree Production’s film ‘Dono’ did not even reach one crore on the first day. Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma and Sunny Deol’s son Rajveer’s first film is also Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avneesh’s directorial debut.
The film has released on very limited screens. However, the opening of the film from the production house which has given all-time hits like ‘Hum Aap Ke Hai Kaun’ and ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ has been very disappointing.
Even so, the trade circles did not have high hopes from the film ‘Thank you for coming’, starring Bhumi Pednekar. This film has also earned barely one crore.
