The parents have complained that after the school increased the fees, the parents had presented to the district education officer after the letter to impose a fine of Rs 100 per day on the children who have not paid the fees. However, four issues were resolved by the district education officer in the presence of the school administrators. After the decision to increase the fee, a letter has been issued by the school ordering the students who have not paid the fee to be charged a late fee of Rs 100 after October 10. Against which the parents strongly protested. The parents say that fees cannot be collected by flouting the rules in this way.
What was the whole controversy?
According to the parents’ complaint, the school arbitrarily hiked the fees without seeking the approval of the FRC. Also two term fee and admission fee are being charged every year. According to the complaint made by the parents to the DEO, they have to pay an additional fee of approximately 10 to 15 thousand rupees including two term fees and admission fee. Which is not right. However, the DEO has given a verbal instruction to the parents not to pay the fee until the court orders in the presence of the school representative.

Anger among parents against school arbitrariness
Along with the fee increase, the parents complain that the school calls the students who participate in the activities earlier than the school hours and the academic work is started after the activities are completed. Against which the parents demand that the extra activity time should not be after the end of school or before the start of school. In this regard, the DEO has also urged the school to take a decision by November 1 regarding the time.
