The New Zealand cricket team was a finalist during the last 2 World Cups. During the 2015 World Cup, the New Zealand team was defeated by Australia and in 2019, England prevented them from becoming the world champions. In 12 ODI World Cups, New Zealand reached the semi-finals 6 times and the final 2 times, but did not win the World Cup. A chance to become a world champion lost in the last 4 seasons
In the last 4 seasons i.e. 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 World Cup, New Zealand lost the chance to become the world champion. In 2007 and 2011, New Zealand made it to the semi-finals, while in 2015 and 2019, New Zealand reached the final. However, it did not win the World Cup.
