Gujarat Rain Forecast: According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may occur in the state for the next two days. It may rain in South Gujarat and North Gujarat as well. Rain is also predicted in Sangh Pradesh Diu, Daman and Dadranagar Haveli.

Where will it rain today?

Rain is predicted today in Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar in Central Gujarat including Mehsana Sabarkantha in North Gujarat. Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Gir Somnath, Junagadh in Saurashtra may experience rain today.

Rain was recorded in 83 talukas of the state on Saturday. Chuda of Surendranagar received 5 inches of rain, while Botad, Gondal, Chikhli also received 2 inches each. The number of overflowing water bodies in the state has gone up to 58 due to good rains. 30 reservoirs in Saurashtra, 12 in Kutch, nine in Central Gujarat and six in South Gujarat are housefull. 207 reservoirs have more than 93.90 percent water storage. Out of the 206 reservoirs in the state, 144 reservoirs are on high alert, 107 are on alert and warning, 19 are on alert, 18 are on warning. 62 reservoirs have less than 70 percent water storage.

Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has predicted rain in Gujarat. A system will become active over the Arabian Sea from 28th due to which rainfall is expected. Light pressure is likely to develop in the Bay of Bengal on September 30. From October 2 to October 14, there is a possibility of gradual formation of a cyclone from the air pressure. After which there will be a stir in the Arabian Sea as well. Also there is a possibility of one cyclone after another. With which rain will come in Gujarat. In which rain may occur in coastal areas of South Gujarat, Kutch and Saurashtra. While Ambalal Patel has also predicted that the system will be activated on September 28 in the Arabian Sea. After which there may be rain in some parts of Gujarat with heavy wind.

Monsoon will depart by September 25

Even though the monsoon will leave in two days, the rainy conditions will remain. Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has estimated that the monsoon will depart by September 25. It will bring rain to parts of South Gujarat along with some parts of Kutch including North and Central Gujarat. The rain that will come now may come with strong winds. While the temperature will be around 34 degrees. In October, the temperature will reach 36 to 38 degrees.
