Just as your phone heats up due to excessive usage, high power electrical and electronics devices and machines generate a lot of heat. Due to which a very large amount of electric power is consumed in the industry. So to solve this big problem of semiconductor industry Professor Hemantakumar Mehta of Mechanical Department of SVNIT has developed a device and got its patent. It is called a liquid cooled heat sink.

Hemant also received a grant of 25 lakhs from the Department of Science and Technology. Regular electronic devices use an air cooled system. In which the heat is taken out of the device by the fan. But the size of this type of device is big. While the performance of the liquid hit sink system is 10 times higher, power costs are reduced by 50 percent and the device size is also reduced.
